Purpose of this job
This candidate will fulfill the role of an Engineering Solutions Process Separations Specialist within the Process Engineering Discipline, providing leadership and technical expertise in the area of Process Separations. This role provides technical support to project teams and operating plants to ensure all Process Separations equipment trays and/or packing and associated tower internals) meet the technical and functional requirements.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Providing technical support and expertise in a broad array of Global Project Methodology (GPM) and Technology Implementation for Competitive Advantage (TICA) projects.
- Should have experience in refineries , chemical Industrial knowledge is must
- Participating with the other Engineering Solutions (ES) Process Separations Expertise Area members (as an empowered team), in the development and maintenance of process engineering design and calculation bases in the area of Process Separations.
- Participating with the other ES Process Separations Expertise Area members (as an empowered team), in determining strategic direction and in coordinating tools for ES Process Separations.
- Leading the acquisition and/or development of training materials and the implementation of training for the technical community in Process Separations.
- Mentoring, training and coaching process engineers in the area of Process Separations.
- Assuring fundamental issues, codes, and practices are represented and contained in the Expertise Area technology.
- Representing ES Process Separations Expertise Area and interacting with customers to assure appropriate skills are applied in resolving issues.
- Proactively capturing learning from plant operating experience and appropriately incorporate those into Expertise Area technology.
- Championing ES Process Separations global, solutions focused, value creating strategy.
- Partnering with E&PS Process Separations to exchange and leverage technology advances and appropriately applying these advances to capital project applications.

Job Overview:
* The Laboratory Leader is responsible establishing a laboratory in India in support of new product scale-up, troubleshooting of commercial products, and remediation studies to ensure products are properly preserved through use of appropriate biocide packages. In addition, the leader will be hands-on in the set-up of the facility, conducting experiments, coordinating work for potential future subordinates, and interfacing regularly with a broader global organization.
* The candidate will interface daily with supporting personnel that will help define appropriate experiments and facilitate the transfer of products from the laboratory to full scale equipment.
* As the scope of work increases, the laboratory leader will be responsible for project management with polymer synthesis laboratory chemists, analytical chemists, microbiologists, and technical assistants. Brief Description
· Fully experienced working in Laboratory set up

A) Distribution Transformer : up to 2500 KVA, 33KV voltage class
1) Production Engineer ---7 to 8 years distribution transformer Industry experience of Production in various sections like winding, core & Core coil assembly, tanking etc.
Supervising/ Managing Production activities, Coordinating between different production activities, getting clarifications from Design/ Drawing departments, monitoring quality, planning production schedules, Training, Job allocation, Achieving production targets at desired level of quality
B) Power Transformers up to 150 MVA/132 kV class
2) Manager Electrical Design --- 10 to 15 years Power transformer industry experience of Electro--mechanical design. Can supervise a team also
Electrical/ mechanical design & detailed Electro-Mechanical design of Power Transformers, Design optimisation, simulation / modelling etc., BOQ generation, Knowledge and implementation of CAD tools for Power Transformer design
Desirable design experience of 400KV Power Transformers
Hands on experience with customer technical specifications.
Involvement in new product development, design improvements.
Material purchase specifications and quality assurance systems related to transformers in order to meet customers technical requirements and quality expectations.
To conduct study and analysis of transformer electrical & mechanical design failure.
Desired Profile:
Experience in electrical & mechanical design of distribution up to 45 kV, power transformer up to 275kV/500kV and/or special transformer.
Good experience & knowledge in transformer diagnostic tools and life assessment technique e.g. Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) and Frequency Response Analysis (FRA) interpretations.
Good experience & knowledge in transformer failure investigation and analysis.
Good experience & knowledge in Finite Element Analysis Software for short circuit reactance, losses calculation and etc.
Good experience & knowledge in Heat Transfer Analysis and Wave/Impulse Transient Program.
Good experience & knowledge in transformer manufacturing processes and procedures.
Experience in Visual Basic or other design software tools.
A self-starter and able to work under minimum supervision.
Able to organize and coordinate multiple projects in a timely manner.
